Where do I order the schoolbooks?
All school books available through the Schulshop must be ordered via the DSP Online Schulshop.

When should I order the German books?
Many of our German books are imported from Germany and can take some time to arrive in South Africa.
We therefore strongly recommend ordering them as early as possible.
South African publishers also close over the December holidays, so we recommend ordering locally sourced books early too.
Wann sollte ich die deutschen Bücher bestellen?
Viele unserer deutschen Schulbücher werden aus Deutschland importiert und benötigen entsprechend Zeit, bis sie in Südafrika eintreffen.
Wir empfehlen daher, diese so früh wie möglich zu bestellen.
Auch südafrikanische Verlage schließen über die Dezemberferien. Deshalb empfehlen wir, auch lokal bezogene Bücher frühzeitig zu bestellen.
Where do I buy stationery?
You have two options:
The easy option: Order the complete stationery bundle online. We pack everything for you and email you when it is ready for collection.
The in-store option: You can also purchase individual stationery items directly from the Schulshop.
Please keep in mind that the Schulshop can become very busy at the beginning of the school year, so we recommend ordering online wherever possible.
Wo kaufe ich die Schreibwaren?
Sie haben zwei Möglichkeiten:
Die einfache Variante: Bestellen Sie das komplette Schreibwarenpaket online. Wir stellen alles für Sie zusammen und informieren Sie per E-Mail, sobald Ihre Bestellung abholbereit ist.
Direkt im Schulshop: Einzelne Schreibwaren können selbstverständlich auch direkt im Schulshop gekauft werden.
Bitte beachten Sie, dass es besonders zu Beginn des Schuljahres sehr voll werden kann. Wir empfehlen daher, wenn möglich online zu bestellen.
Are Schulshop prices comparable to other retailers?
Yes. We aim to offer our DSP community fair and attractive prices. Wherever possible, we compare our pricing with other retailers and strive to keep our prices comparable or more competitive.
Sind die Preise im Schulshop mit anderen Geschäften vergleichbar?
Ja. Wir achten darauf, unserer DSP-Gemeinschaft faire und attraktive Preise anzubieten. Wo immer möglich, orientieren wir uns an den Preisen anderer Einzelhändler und versuchen, diese vergleichbar oder günstiger zu halten.
Do I have to pay online?
No, but online payment is our preferred option as it allows us to process and prepare your order more efficiently.
Order & pay online: We prepare your order and email you as soon as it is ready for collection.
Order online & pay at the Schulshop: You may also order online and pay at the Schulshop. Payment must be made within 3 business days to secure your order.
Muss ich online bezahlen?
Nein, allerdings ist die Online-Zahlung unsere bevorzugte Variante, da wir Ihre Bestellung dadurch schneller bearbeiten und vorbereiten können.
Online bestellen & bezahlen: Wir bereiten Ihre Bestellung vor und informieren Sie per E-Mail, sobald sie abholbereit ist.
Online bestellen & im Schulshop bezahlen: Sie können Ihre Bestellung auch online aufgeben und anschließend im Schulshop bezahlen. Die Zahlung muss innerhalb von 3 Werktagen erfolgen, damit Ihre Bestellung reserviert bleibt.
Can I buy second-hand school books and school clothes?
Yes! There are several ways to buy and sell pre-loved items within our DSP community.
Second-hand school books available through the Schulshop are also listed online and are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
Second-hand school clothing available through the Schulshop can be found directly in the shop.
We also have separate Primary School and Secondary School WhatsApp groups for books and clothing. Parents can use these groups to:
- offer items they would like to sell
- post an “In Search Of” (ISO) request for something they need
- connect directly with other DSP families
Kann ich gebrauchte Schulbücher und -kleidung kaufen?
Ja! Innerhalb unserer DSP-Gemeinschaft gibt es verschiedene Möglichkeiten, gebrauchte Artikel zu kaufen und zu verkaufen.
Gebrauchte Schulbücher, die über den Schulshop erhältlich sind, werden auch online eingestellt und nach dem Prinzip „Wer zuerst kommt, mahlt zuerst“ verkauft.
Gebrauchte Schulkleidung finden Sie direkt im Schulshop.
Zusätzlich gibt es separate WhatsApp-Gruppen für Grundschule und Sekundarstufe sowie für Bücher und Schulkleidung. Dort können Eltern:
- Artikel zum Verkauf anbieten
- eine „Suche“-Anfrage für benötigte Artikel einstellen
- direkt mit anderen DSP-Familien in Kontakt treten.
Are there WhatsApp groups for school books and school clothing?
Yes. We have dedicated WhatsApp groups where DSP parents can offer or look for second-hand school books and school clothing.
It is a useful way for new families to connect with the existing DSP community and find items that other families no longer need.
Gibt es WhatsApp-Gruppen für gebrauchte Schulkleidung und -bücher?
Ja. Es gibt eigene WhatsApp-Gruppen, in denen DSP-Eltern gebrauchte Schulbücher und Schulkleidung anbieten oder suchen können.
Gerade für neue Familien sind diese Gruppen außerdem eine gute Möglichkeit, sich mit unserer DSP-Gemeinschaft zu vernetzen.

When does my child receive a Learner ID?
New learners from Grade 1 onwards:
A photo will be taken during the first week of school and a learner profile will be created. Once the profile is active, a temporary card can be collected from the Schulshop.

Wann erhält mein Kind den Schülerausweis?
Neue Schülerinnen und Schüler ab Klasse 1:
In der ersten Schulwoche wird ein Foto aufgenommen und ein Schülerprofil erstellt. Sobald das Profil aktiviert ist, kann eine vorläufige Karte im Schulshop abgeholt werden.
Wir bitten um etwas Geduld: Wir stellen unser System derzeit um, um den Ablauf für unsere DSP-Familien einfacher und kundenfreundlicher zu gestalten. Vielen Dank für Ihr Verständnis während der Umstellung.
How do I order lunch?
Lunch for Grade R learners can be pre-ordered through Allxs.
The current pre-order menu can also be viewed online. If you need assistance, the Allxs WhatsApp support team is very responsive and can be reached on +27 66 472 8657.
No Allxs account yet? Simply visit the Tuckshop to place and pay for your child’s lunch in advance until your Allxs account is active.

Das Mittagessen für Kinder der Vorschule kann über Allxs vorbestellt werden.
Das aktuelle Vorbestellungsmenü kann ebenfalls online eingesehen werden. Bei Fragen hilft der Allxs WhatsApp-Support schnell und unkompliziert unter +27 66 472 8657 weiter.
Noch kein Allxs-Konto? Kommen Sie einfach im Tuckshop vorbei. Dort können Sie das Mittagessen für Ihr Kind im Voraus bestellen und bezahlen, bis Ihr Allxs-Konto freigeschaltet ist.
